Alocasia Polly
Alocasia Amazonica 'Polly' - Elephant Ear
She comes in a 6" nursery pot.
Light: She lives her best life in bright indirect light. She will not tolerate low light conditions and her moody dark leaves will scorch if exposed to direct sunlight.
Water: She enjoys weekly waterings. In winter let the top 2 inches of soil dry out between waterings to prevent overwatering and root rot. She is not drought tolerant and excessive dryness will cause edges of leaves to brown.
Humidity: She prefers a humid envirnment which can be achieved by frequent misting.
Temp: She fits into our midwest homes nicely. She prefers temps between 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep her away from drafts, and avoid sudden temp changes.
Toxicity: She is poisonous to both humans and animals.
